IPL 2020: Mumbai Indians give a sneak peek into their team rooms in UAE (VIDEO)

Mumbai Indians has given their fans a virtual tour of the franchise’s team room in Abu Dhabi. The video features team room, gym and the game zone, where players can be seen taking part in recreational activities.

New Delhi: Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2020 initially stared at cancellation of this year’s event but after the go-ahead on foreign shores, the gala cricketing event is all set to take off in UAE.

However, that hasn’t ruled out the Coronavirus scare impacting the game. At least 13 staff including 2 players of the IPL contingent tested positive upon landing in UAE.

The Covid-19 threat still looms large however, it won’t be allowed to play spoilsport… at least this is what is visible in conduct of players and franchisee owners. Management of all franchisees have ensured that all precautionary measures are being followed like social distancing, equipping all staff with Covid-19 safety kits.

Players too have taken the initiative to make the moment lighter and stress-free.

Mumbai Indians has given their fans a virtual tour of the franchise’s team room in Abu Dhabi. Taking to Twitter, MI wrote, “Sit back, relax and take a virtual tour of our team room in Abu Dhabi.”

The video features team room, gym and the game zone, where players can be seen taking part in recreational activities. In the video, Hardik Pandya can be seen donning a rockstar look.

“Players spend a lot of time here, so it’s with a view that it’s going to be three months – a long time, and all the families and players can get together, this is going to be pretty much our zone,” Zaheer said during the video.

“One of the biggest missing factors is our paltan (MI fans) cheering from the stadiums, so we just wanted to have a message conveyed to our players as well as our whole squad, that no matter where you are, the paltan is always going to be there,” said Zaheer.
