MS Dhoni scammed of ₹15 crores, case filed against former partners

Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni, is the new entry of celebrities getting scammed in recent times.

New Delhi: A criminal complaint has been filed by former Indian men’s cricket team captain MS Dhoni against two Ranchi Aarka Sports Management personnel for a 2017 cricket academy agreement that was violated by the accused.

The issue concerns two Aarka Sports Management employees, Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash, who are accused of defrauding Dhoni of Rs 15 crores, according to a report published in Business Today.

It is said that Soumya Vishwash and Mihir Diwakar signed an agreement in 2017 to operate a cricket academy jointly.

As per the terms of the agreement, Aarka Sports was required to pay the franchise fee and split the revenue, but the terms of the agreement were purportedly not followed.

Dhoni reportedly revoked the authority letter he had given the corporation on August 15, 2021, after receiving legal letters and reminders but to no effect.

Dayanand Singh, the cricketer’s agent through Vidhi Associates, claimed that Aarka Sports had deceived them, causing them to lose RS 15 crores.

The current Indian cricketer, Rishabh Pant, who is currently on the sidelines due to suffering a life-threatening road accident, was also duped of RS 1.6 crores earlier this month by a former Haryana-based U-19, cricketer turned conman, Mrinank Singh.

According to the report filed by Rishabh Pant, the former U-19 cricketer promised him to acquire luxury watches at very low prices and took his money on this pretext.

However, Mrinank’s claims turned out to be fake, forcing Rishabh Pant to file an official complaint against the former cricketer turned conman.

MS Dhoni, who is the skipper of IPL side Chennai Super Kings, and Rishabh Pant, who is the skipper of IPL side Delhi Capitals, will be both seen leading their respective sides, putting the full stop to the doubts of them missing the season due to their injuries.

Rishabh Pant is currently recovering from a life-threatening accident, while MS Dhoni is recovering from knee surgery.
