New Delhi: The first of the two ODIs being played between Scotland and the Netherlands is set to take place on Wednesday at Hazelaarweg Stadium in Rotterdam. The Netherlands are back home after after a decent performance against Nepal and Malaysia earlier in the year.
They will step up their preparations for this year’s ICC T20 World Cup, but first they will face Scotland in a series of two 50-over matches. Netherlands’ squad is well-balanced with the experienced players like Pieter Seelaar and Ben Cooper along witht some of the young, talented and inexperienced players like Paul van Meekeren who is going to lead their bowling attack.
On the other hand, Scotland are also well-equipped and prepared, they have a power packed batting lineup led by Kyle Coetzer, while, George Munsey is the one to watch out for. The top-order is followed by a bunch of all-rounders in the middle-order which adds more depth to their already strong batting attack. But just like their opponents, Scotland also has an inexperienced bowling unit, but the key bowlers for them will be likes of Mark Watt and Alasdair Evans. With both teams desperate to look out for a win, be ready for an entertainer on Wednesday afternoon

Pitch Report
The pitch has been a high-scoring one but there is somethin in it for the bowlers too. The weather is expected to be cloudy on Wednesday, so, there will be some swing for the pacers that will keep the batsmen on their toes. As the game is of 50-overs, keeping wickets in hand will be the key, a score of 260-280 should be enough.
