India and New Zealand were awarded one point each as their match in the ongoing ICC Men's Cricket World Cup was abandoned due to rain on Thursday at Trent Bridge.

A day after Congress president Rahul Gandhi's tweet condemning the mass shootings in New Zealand that killed 49 people, Singh asserted that the world needs the doctrine of love, peace and compassion promoted by Sanatan Dharm, Gautam Budha and Mahavir and not that of hatred and violence.
The 28-year-old suspect, identified as Brenton Harrison Tarrant appeared before a Christchurch court on Saturday on murder charges connected with Friday's terror attacks in Christchurch, which left at least 49 people dead. He was remanded in custody without plea until April 5.
"Prime Minister has expressed his deep shock and sadness at the loss of scores of innocent lives in the heinous terrorist attack at the places of worship in Christchurch today," stated a press release.
Prime Minister Ardern confirmed the fatalities and described the killings as "extreme and unprecedented violence". Police reported that four people -- three men and a woman -- had been arrested for the killings.
The gunman reportedly stormed into the mosque and fired indiscriminately, while blocking the hallway so as to not let anybody escape. He stopped several times to reload, before exiting the mosque through the front door and shooting at the cars passing by, reports The New Zealand Herald.
Several casualties are feared, as authorities are yet to confirm the exact figure of deceased or wounded.
