New Delhi: Team India created history on Sunday when they cruised past the defending champions Sri Lanka to win their eighth Asia Cup title with the help of Md. Siraj’s magical spell, India restricted Sri Lanka to a mere total of 50 runs, putting the unwanted record of the lowest total in an ODI Asia Cup game under Sri Lanka’s name. In reply, India had a cakewalk chase as both the openers, Ishan Kishan and Subhman Gill, chased down the target in 6.1 overs without any wickets. Team India returned home after their historic win and received a warm welcome at the airport upon their arrival.
