New Delhi: Dunith Wellalage, the name that came out of the syllabus for team India, and almost took the game away from them.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, skipper Rohit Sharma and his opening partner Subhman Gill gave the Indian team a magnificent start by adding 80 runs for the first wicket.
Team India was seemingly having no trouble facing the Lankan bowlers as they were playing shots effortlessly at their own will up until the 20-year-old Wellalage was introduced into the attack in the 12th over, who then quickly dismantled the Indian batting line-up by picking 5 wickets for 40 runs.
