J&K Tourism Department rings in New Year with Christmas Cake

New Delhi: The Tourism Department of Jammu & Kashmir hosted a live christmas cake baking competition in J&K’s Rajbagh in collabration with the Institute of Hotel Management.  The event was attended by many participants. The purpose of this initiative is to attract more visitors to the valley to generate more revenue. The participants expressed happiness and excitement to be a part of the event. The Tourism officials said that this is a prelude to the many festivals that are going to be celebrated as part of the winter carnival across the valley at popular tourist destinations like Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg in the coming week,” They also said events like the baking contest not only create a festive atmosphere but also provide a platform for the youth to participate in the tourism industry and showcase their talents.
