Kabul university professor tears up his Diplomas on Live TV, says “if mother and sister can’t study…” (VIDEO)

Recently, the Taliban government banned university education for women across Afghanistan, which received widespread criticism.

New Delhi:  A professor from Kabul University tore up all his diplomas on live television, saying that he cannot accept the education and degrees “if mother and sister can’t study”.

Now a clip from the TV has gone viral on social media. In the video, the professor can be seen tearing all his diplomas one by one.

The video was also shared by Shabnam Nasimi, former policy advisor to the Minister for Afghan Resettlement & Minister for Refugees on Twitter.

“From today I don’t need these diplomas anymore because this country is no place for an education. If my sister & my mother can’t study, then I DON’T accept this education.”

Currently, Nasimiis working as executive director of Conservative Friends of Afghanistan. This group promotes understanding and support for Afghanistan in the United Kingdom.

Last year in August, Afghanistan was recaptured by the Taliban two decades after they had been driven out by US forces in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

After they seized power, Taliban leaders had promised a better and softer rule but their actions however revealed otherwise.
