New Delhi: After entertaining the cinema-goers on big screens, Vignesh Karthick’s latest Tamil flick Hot Spot is soon going to make its way on an OTT platform.
Starring Kalaiyarasan, Sofia, and Sandy amongst many other skilled stars. the anthology movie will make its digital debut on the leading South Indian streaming portal Aha Video, reportedly by the fall of May 2024.
Hot Spot OTT Release Update
Last Saturday, Aha took to its social handle and announced that Hot Spot will land on its platform real soon. Sharing one poster of the movie, the streaming giant wrote, “Yours shamefully tales varuvathu uruthi. Date viraivill arivikkapadum HotSpot COMING SOON on Aha Video.

However, despite the announcement, Aha refrained from disclosing the exact release date of the movie, compelling the fans to wait for the same a little more.
About Hot Spot Story 1 & 2
Written by film’s director Vignesh Karthick himself, Hot Spot tells multiple stories to the viewers, each having its own significance with a lesson to learn.
In the first story titled Happy Married Life, A couple Vijay and Dhanyaa (Played by Gouri G Kiesh and Adithya Baskar) are shown having conflicting opinions about getting married and settling down together.
While Vijay seems to be insisting on his girlfriend Dhanyaa for marriage, the latter is hesitant to do the same. What happens next & how a dream changes Vijay’s perception of women and feminism is the remaining story.
The second story titled Golden Rules narrates the tale of a woman Deepthi (Played by Ammu) who lies to her parents about being a lesbian and the same scares them to their core.
Later, when her family insists she at least chooses a guy for marriage, the lady uses this opportunity and makes them agree to her marriage with her lover Siddharth (Played by Sandy). However, despite successfully tricking her parents, an unexpected revelation makes the duo’s espousal nearly impossible.
About Hot Spot Story 3 & 4
Thakalli Chutney is Hot Spot’s third story that circles the lives of an unfaithful man Vetri (Subash) & his loyal wife Anita (Janani). It showcases how one day Vetri chooses to masturbate inside the office’s washroom but is caught in the act by a CCTV camera by someone.
Later, that ‘someone’ makes Vetri’s video viral by circulating it amongst all the co-employees. This causes him to lose his job and when Anita finds out why was he fired, he tries to reason with her, saying that lust and love are two separate things when it comes to men. How his wife reacts to the same & teaches him a lesson to remember is the remaining story.
The last and the most hard-hitting story of the movie is Fame Game which sees Kalaiyarsan and Sofia essaying lead characters.
Cast and Production
K. J. Balamanimarbhan in association with Suresh Kumar has produced Hotspot under the banner of KJB Talkies and
Seven Warrior Films. Its editing is done by Muthayan U while Gokul Benoy is the man behind the movie’s cinematography.
