
New Delhi: As part of the 4th tranche of Rs 20 lakh crore special economic package for making India self-reliant, Nirmala Sitharaman today announced a slew of structural reforms.
# Commercial mining in coal sector to be brought in; govt monopoly to be removed, says FM
# Revenue sharing mechanism instead of regime of fixed rupees/tonne will be offered for commercial mining of coal
# Diversified opportunities in the coal sector, investment of Rs 50,000 crores
# There are 8 sectors where reforms are being brought in – coal, minerals, defence production, airports and aerospace management, power sector distribution companies in UTs, space sector, atomic energy sector and civil aviation.
# SEZs, industrial parks spread in some 5 lakh hectares, it would be mapped so that investors don’t face problems.
