Aaditya Thackeray breaks silence over Sushant Singh Rajput case, alleges ‘dirty politics’

New Delhi: Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray broke his silence over the matter involving the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Taking to Twitter, Thackeray said that he isn’t linked to the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. He further said that this is “dirty politics” and even though it is being said that he had something to do with the 34-year-old actor’s death, it is completely false.

“Some people are unnecessarily engaging in mudslinging at me and Thackeray family. This is a result of their frustration due to political failure or the success of this government in Maharashtra. This attempt of politicising the dead is a blot on humanity. I have nothing to with matter whatsoever,” Thackeray said in a statement in Marathi.

He slammed the “personal remarks” begin made against him and the Thackeray family. He also went on to claim that he doesn’t have “any relation” to this matter.

He also said, “Cine industry aka Bollywood is an important part of Mumbai” and noted that a lot of people are “dependent on it.” Thackeray dared those who are making allegations to come forward and hand over the proofs to Mumbai police.

Earlier, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar recommended CBI probe after speaking to Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, KK Singh.

The minister said that the Bihar government will ask for a CBI inquiry into the matter. He added that he spoke to Sushant’s father and his family doesn’t want the police to investigate the case and want CBI to inquire. Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Mumbai home on June 14.

Governments of Bihar and Maharashtra have already filed caveat in the top court seeking to be heard before any order is passed on Rhea’s plea. Sushant’s father K.K. Singh has also filed a caveat in the apex court in the matter.
