New Delhi: 24 Akbar Road, the iconic address of the Lutyens Delhi which houses the Congress Headquarters suffered ‘rare’ power outage for 2 hours on Monday, prompting critical diatribe from Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and took a direct aim at Modi government and blamed it for various crises looming before the country.

Power crisis, Jobs crisis, farmer crisis, inflation crisis – Rahul blamed the Modi government’s ‘mis-governance’ for all that is plaguing the country.

Along with onset of harsh summer conditions, the power shortage & outage has made life difficult for people in many parts of the country including Delhi-NCR & adjoining regions like Haryana, Punjab & Uttar Pradesh.

Delhi Minister Satyendra Jain sent alarm bells ringing when he claimed that there was severe shortfall of fuel for running power plants and warned hospitals & schools to remain prepared for power outages.

His claim was today refuted by Power Minister RK Singh who called out Delhi govt for spreading canards and asserted that there was no shortfall of coal.

The 2-hour long power cut at Congress headquarters, one of the most popular locations of Central Delhi, has taken everybody by surprise. Some Congress leaders have also called it a poor & failed attempt by BJP govt to trouble its leaders.

Rahul Gandhi launched a no-holds barred attack on the Modi government, however, it’s not clear whether it came before or after the power cut.

In his tweet, he launched a direct attack on Modi government and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s misgovernance is a case study of how one of the fastest growing economies could be turned into a ‘ruined ship’.
