New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said that he and his party will not be intimidated by ‘witch hunt’ of the Modi government. His remarks came on back of MHA announcing an inter-ministerial panel to probe 3 foundations linked to the Gandhi family.

Apparently miffed over Centre’s tough stance on alleged violations in funding to these trusts, Rahul tweeted that “Those who fight for truth have no price and can not be intimidated.”

The three trusts are – Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust and Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust.
Rahul’s sharp attack on PM Modi

In a pointed attack, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also took potshots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that he thinks that the world is like him and that every one has a price or can be intimidated.

“Mr Modi believes the world is like him. He thinks every one has a price or can be intimidated. He will never understand that those who fight for the truth have no price and cannot be intimidated,” Gandhi said in a tweet.

Rahul reiterates his warning on ‘Economic Tsunami’

Further lashing out at the government, Rahul reiterated his warning to the Centre over ‘Economic Tsunami’. Taking a screenshot of a leading paper over bad loans and mounting NPAs, Rahul tweeted, “Stated months ago that Economic Tsunami was coming but was ridiculed by Modi govt & media”.

The MHA has set up an inter-ministerial committee to These investigations are into alleged violation of legal provisions including the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), Income Tax Act and the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act.
