Speaking to reporters about downgrading his security, he said, “It is another step to see that I don’t criticise too much and I do not play an effective role in opposing the Modi government. But such steps will not deter me and I will continue fighting with this communal and divisive politics. India is a democratic country and we want democracy to prevail.”

“Why are Hindu-Muslims being distinguished in CAA. Hindus are secular and broad-minded but the government is narrow-minded and is deviating from the basic principle of Hinduism for political gains”, he stated.
