Harpreet Singh is recognized as a young political activist, youth leader and social worker in the city of New Delhi, India. After going to London for his studies, he returned to India and aimed to undertake efforts that are directed towards the upliftment of the underprivileged sections of society. Today, he is the youngest Secretary General of the Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress.
As a young political leader, Harpreet Singh is widely known to give great emphasis on being available for the general public, especially the youth. He initiates dialogues with people to understand their issues better. Talking about the same in an informal discussion, he said, “I want people to know that I am genuinely there and interested in what they have to say. As a youth leader, I believe I am the link between youngsters and the higher authorities of the Government. Opening up conversations about people’s problems makes them feel heard and that is extremely important.” Harpreet Singh has been greatly involved in amplifying the voices of the disadvantaged and underprivileged people and sections and ensuring that their grievances are looked into and addressed.
In the social work realm, Harpreet Singh has partnered with local help groups and provided direct help in terms of food grains, vegetables, water, medicines to numerous people who do not have the access to the same. Additionally, Harpreet Singh is the founder of the India Together Foundation which is a Non Government Organization that undertook commendable work by providing people with relief and support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Safety kits were handed out and people in need were connected to the resources they needed.
Harpreet Singh has shown empathetic understanding towards people in the country and has come up as a young political leader and social worker who believes in action oriented work.
