New Delhi: At the all-party meet called by the Modi government about deliberations on raging border row, most of the parties rallied behind the Centre claiming that there can’t be any compromise when it comes to defending our territorial integrity.
Sending a message that the nation stands solidly with Prime Minister, most leaders expressed confidence over government’s handling of violent skirmishes at the India-China border.
North-East parties expressed their strong support for PM Modi’s strong leadership as the latter promised befitting reply to the neighbouring nation. A couple of them reportedly alerted the government spoke about China’s treacherous designs and the need to stay hawk-eyed on such challenge.
Prem Singh Tamang, Sikkim Chief Minister:

NCP chief Sharad Pawar too was supportive of government’s handling of issue, he stressed on the need to respect international agreements. He said whether soldiers carried arms or not are decided by international agreements and we need to respect such sensitive matters.

Mayawati appreciated the detailed presentation by EAM Jaishankar on the Ladakh face-off. She stressed on taking appropriate measures on trade and investment front to counter China. She also said this is not the time for politics and she firmly stands with PM Modi on whatever decisions he takes.
