Semicom India 2023: What Industry leaders said on India’s potential for semi-conductor industry

A lot many industry leaders, attending the conference said that India was slated to become next global powerhouse in the sector.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the ‘Semicom India 2023’ exhibition at the at the Mahatma Mandir convention center in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar district.

Addressing the gathering of industry leaders including some semiconductor industry honchos, PM Modi urged them to come and set up bases in India and subsequently draw benefit under ‘first mover’s advantage’.

“Bharat never disappoints anyone,” PM Modi said at Semicom India 2023, bringing smile on faces of those attending the event.

Semicom India 2023 is an attempt to highlight India’s focus on the semi-conductor industry & also about govt policy envisioning to turn the country into a global hub for designing & manufacturing semi-conductors.

Lot many reputed companies from across the globe including Foxconn, Micron, LAM Research, NXP Semiconductors, STMicroelectronics, AMD, IBM, Marvell, Vedanta and other prominent firms participated in the event.
