New Delhi: Amid the tense stand-off at Line of Actual Control (LAC), Chinese troops have further advanced into Indian territory, said a news report.
The leading daily, quoting former BJP MP from Ladakh Thupstan Chhewang, claimed that Chinese PLA troops have further transgressed into Indian territory and occupied positions in Finger 2 and 3 of the north bank of Pangong Tso lake.
Notably, India and China have been engaged in a military stand-off for past 5 months.
Mr. Chhewang told the leading daily that he received this information from locals living in forward areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh.
Indian Army dubs it fake news
However, the Indian Army has been outrightly refuted this claim.
“It is a fake news. ADG PI – Indian Army has refuted this statement,” tweeted PIB.
