‘Truth shall prevail’: Rhea Chakraborty issues ‘video defence’ in reply to allegations against her

Rhea ‘video defence’ comes hours after Enforcement Directorate (ED) reportedly registered money laundering case in Sushant’s death case.

New Delhi: Actress Rhea Chakraborty, accused of cheating and harassment by Sushant Singh Rajput’s family, today broke her silence on the string of allegations leveled against her and issued a video statement to defend herself.

Rhea didn’t speak much but said she hopes to get justice in the case. She said she will not comment much on the matter as it is sub-judice and ended statement by saying ‘truth shall prevail’.

What Rhea Chakraborty said in video statement:

“I have immense faith in God, and the judiciary. I believe that I will get justice. Even though a lot of horrible things are being said about me in the electronic media, I refrain from commenting on the advice of my lawyers, as the matter is sub-judice. Satyamev Jayate… the truth shall prevail.”

Rs 15 crore withdrawn from Sushant’s account, claims father in FIR

Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh in his complaint filed in Patna against the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and five others claimed that around Rs 15 crores was withdrawn from Sushant Singh Rajput’s bank account in the last one year and transferred to accounts that had no link with him.

The actress has filed a plea in Supreme Court, seeking transfer of the case filed by the Bihar Police to Mumbai, stating that the police there was already seized of the matter.

Sushant’s father Krishna Kumar Singh (74) has already moved the Supreme Court and filed a caveat in the matter.
